Phew! Its been a busy week for us! For those of you who haven't heard Gavin Thomas came into the world on April 24th at 7:12 pm. Here's the story in a nutshell: My water broke at 830am on Thursday and I called the hospital and told us to come right in. We grab all of our last minute stuff and hit the road. We get to the hospital at about 930. The checked me all out and admitted me and at about 10ish they started to induce me. Well, by about 6 they had me on the max pitocin I could have and hadn't even dilated past 1cm my dr came in and discussed some options. After talking to him and then Landon and I discussing it we decided that a c-section would be our best course of action. So they started prepping Landon and I and they started the surgery at 7pm and he was out at 712! Pretty easy I'd say! Landon got to hold him first (as you'll see in the pictures below - thats him in the bio-hazard type suit). There were some complications with my surgery but nothing that a good ole catheter for a week can't fix! Oh- and the important stuff - Gavin was 8lbs exactly and 19.5 inches long - and he has TONS of dark hair that over the last week has started to get lighter! Its also fun cause Gavin has TWO cousins who share his birthday - one who was just born earlier that day! We stayed in the hospital till Sunday and we've been home and trying our best at this crazy ride that is parenting! Here are some fun pics for all yinz guys to enjoy!
